Clip size is not that bad , but cap use is . It just needs too much cap for fire. Lower cap use by 20% and ill be happy.

Exactly, it is realy strange that frig-bc hybrid gun ships are cap stable with biggest long range guns + mwd fitted. But a bs with only 2 dmg mods + 100mn t2 mwd fitted run out of cap within minutes by firing its weapons. It is ridiculous. If i add in that a bs also should run 2 sensor boosters then a rokh can only fire for 5mins a mega can fire for 5.8mins and an apoc can fire for 6.1mins.
Shouldn't the amarr has cap problems when firing its guns? I think megathron and rokh should be able to fire its guns at least for 8-10mins nonstop with spikes. Even if i add 1 capaitor module a rokh still wont be able to fire more than 6 mins.

Edited by: Naomi Knight on 10/12/2008 08:55:04 Edited by: Naomi Knight on 10/12/2008 08:54:22 It is strange they bring in abaddon for cap use ,but that ship is not a sniper. An apoc is much better sniper in every way except dmg. So if i want to compare sniper megathron to an amarr ship then it is the apoc. If i want to compare an abaddon to hybrid ship then it is a blaster megathron , which will run out of cap way faster because it has to use its mwd much more than the abaddon. Pulse abaddon has 45km optimal , blaster mega has max 11km.It means everytime a mega change target it use 1-2 mwd cycle more than the abaddon, making it to cap out much faster.
So high cap useage for lasers are myth, if you compare it to hybrid guns.
I think ccp should redesign completly caldari and gallente races, the way of fighting for this races makes them less than average in most battles.
Just think on this why a zealot, which is a long range hac, is faster than the deimos which is a close range dmg dealer. And why zealot has nearly the same dmg output but 4times as big optimal + better ehp.

But i'm still right about dps, scorch zealot <<< deimos when it comes about dps :)
Not when you check the killmails. Zealot is much better dmg dealer because it wont spend as much time on mwding to the target.Oh and imho em/thermal is much better dmg types than kinetic/thermal.

Better damage dealer, yes. Better damage types, no. It's still the case that most armour tankers EANM tank (in PvP) putting EM/Therm near the top of their resists.
It is still the case that most support ships shield tank or no tank at all putting em the lowest resist.

Originally by: Cpt Cosmic rails are super duper when you compare them to artillery, dont complain.
No because cap use is significant , and beams are better in most situations , so i complain , if you think arties need a boost than say so ,but rails need a boost.
